Boaters love docking in Port Charlotte

Port Charlotte is an unincorporated area of Charlotte County on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in southwest Florida. At the turn of the 20th-century, Port Charlotte virtually did not exist. Since the 1950s, the area has been developed and has become a thriving community on the Peace River. Boaters can have a great time in Port Charlotte. Aside from the beach, there is Bayshore Live Oak Park, where boaters can enjoy a stroll along the scenic coastline or fishing at the fishing piers. Furthermore, boaters can hike, paddle and observe the wildlife in the nearly 46,000 acre Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park.
